Welcome to KODEbase.net
I created a KODEbase as place to share information about various personal programming projects I am working on. What you find on this site is information about my personal projects, tutorials, and links to programming related sites. And since it is my site anything else I desire to put up here.
Professionally I am a Software Engineer, and I enjoy doing the work the profession requires. This is why I also do it as a hobby. I primarily work with C++ and C# at professionally, and working with C++ and Lua, and some C# as a hobby, though C# comes in when it's needed. My general philosophy is to use the language that is best suited for the solution, and since I generally do personal programs for Windows and Linux then C# is rarely used. This means that a given project could involve C++, C#, Java, Lua or a combination of those if the choice is left to me.
Enough about me professionally, this site is about my hobbies, mostly revolving around programming or related to a programming based hobby.
I started my programming hobbies as a teenager when I got a Commodore 64. I didn't get any kind of program storage devices with it, so unless the program was on a cartridge you typed the program in, ran the program and when you were done you turned the computer off and typed in the next program. While typing these programs in I started to learn what the instructions were doing and began to modify them. Thus a programmer is born. I did eventually get a tape drive to save the programs and eventually a floppy drive that could hold 360 KB on a single disk. (yes that is KB).
Well I have since moved on from my Commodore 64, but fire that it ignited still burns.

Notice that I did not mention HTML, PHP, JavaScript, etc. I am not a web programmer, or website designer, or anything web based except a web user. This site was build using web design tools and templates with some hand tweaks mad e be me. I know enough of the web languages to modify existing sites, but not enough to create a site.
